Xavier's water heater had a small puddle under it yesterday morning, and it wasn't condensation.

Not shown: Trip down to Plover to the closest Lowe's that had a suitable one in stock. Friendly helpful employees there got us taken care of in record time.


Denuded and drained


The new one is shorter and stockier, so needed raising off the floor. Handy bricks were exactly the right thickness to meet the solid copper plumbing installed by the builder 30(?) years ago.

Water heater installations normally take at least three trips to the hardware store to supply missing / forgotten / updated items. This only took the one, possibly because there were three of us working it?
