Marathon County Maple, Day 15

We finished another batch of syrup on Sunday; nothing photogenic happened, but we did get about 13 gallons out of it.

It's been too warm for much sap to run—we collected some yesterday and started a fire under it, mostly to sterilize it so it won't spoil.

Whether we get enough more to finish it in the woods or have to bring it out and deal with it otherwise depends on how much and / or when any more drips into the pails.


The snow is pretty much gone from the woods.

And we finished the wallboard in Mike's workshop / garage...


We reinforced that shaky scaffold with a couple of 2x4s
