Mid-Wis Maple, Day 18

Sure doesn't seem like spring, no matter what the calendar says! 20° this morning...

The remote (outdoor) furnace gets fed wood on a semi-regular basis, made a bit easier over the years with some upgrades—you might remember us pouring the concrete floor and installing the turntable last summer.

When a pallet-full of wood runs out, it needs replacing:
The empty pallet...


2) tractor under overhang--the yellow-framed box is for ballast, if needed


3) still has the (snow moving) scoop on


4) drop it, and pick up the forks


5) go get the empty pallet


6) put in the full one


7) sweep up the detritus.
