Mid-Wis Maple, Day 20

We didn't want to waste another entire day cooped up indoors; although it was still nasty cold we headed up to the woods to haul out some deadfalls, et al.

...as they lie


...trim off the branches


...until you're left with logs


...which get loaded onto the wagon.


Some deadwood needs to be felled,


...hooked up with chains,


...dragged out,


...and staged for loading.


I'm happy to report that the stove in the bus worked a treat, we started a fire when we first went back there, and by the time we left it was nice and toasty inside—not that we took a lot of advantage of it, we were working hard enough to generate internal heat.
