Summer Soiree, Day 06
Those garden stakes we cut a few days ago
could be pounded in with a small sledge, but an ad-hoc pounder might work better. So a scrap pipe got a weight and some handles welded on, which worked...ok. It was my idea to cut the pipe in half so it wouldn't have to be lifted quite so high. This was a mistake...
So we welded it back together...
...and I painted it.
The clothesline poles we'd set the other day weren't quite stable enough, so we dug out a bit around them and tamped them down some more, then mixed up some sand and cement, which Xavier poured into the hole and smoothed out.
He swears it'll absorb enough moisture over the next few days to set up just fine.
