Summer Soiree, Day 30
I don't know why I thought I wouldn't have anything to say, my plane didn't leave until 4, which left half a day for...
Fallis! You might remember we 'finished' this Ford motor / Allis Chalmers hybrid two years ago, which ran backwards.
Since then, Xavier switched the ring gears so it heads in the right direction, and I had some stickers made.
We backed it out of the shed and
ran it back and forth a bit.
I even got to try...
...but before we could get it onto the road to see how it would do back in my field (that we cultivated in the other day) the clutch slave cylinder sprang a leak, so Xavier babied it back into the shed.
We tore the tired pea vines out of the garden and rolled up their climbing nets and stowed them, ready for next year.
We wandered around the place for a bit, marveling on how much we'd accomplished in the past four weeks, then headed for the airport.
Nothing much to say about the flight home, took a couple of pictures as the sun was getting low.
And we're done.
