Summer Sojourn, Day 01
I went to bed two hours early (it was still light out) so I wouldn't be
too wiped getting up early enough to get to the airport by 5:00 am.
Didn't seem to sleep much, but it helped, I guess.
From my POV, air travel has returned to pre-Covid levels, except for the
fact that everybody is fully masked all the time. "Fully masked" seemed
to be subject to private interpretation, but since I'm vaccinated I
wasn't too worried.
The flight to Detroit (first time on that route for me) was chock-full,
but at least I got a window seat, and my row-mates were a guy and his
young son, so it could have been worse. Then the jump back across Lake
Michigan into CWA, and there's X, waiting to pick me up.
Back 'home' for camaraderie and some supper, and...
...sorry, the muse isn't with me this morning, this brief will have to
do. :-(
