Summer Sojourn, Day 08
The concrete floor was set enough that we couldn't wait to try out the
turntable.
This shows it pivoting on the pipe run though the center; said pipe was
then trimmed flush with the top of the turntable.
It's just reachable by the forks on the loader, and there's enough
clearance that exact positioning isn't critical
Pull wood out of the one side, and when that's empty, spin it 180°
and work the other (or alternate sooner, to keep it balanced).
The motor mount on the cement mixer was catty-wompus, so now that we're
finished with it until ???, let's fix it.
After burning off the crooked mount from the other side, we created
a new one from a piece of pipe and some 0.25 scrap steel and welded it on.
You can't tell from this picture how poorly aligned it was, and
although it doesn't look perfect here, that's a function of the small
wobble in the big pulley, not worth obsessing over.
