Summer Sojourn, Day 09
At the end of last winter Xavier scored this snow blower for a decent
price. The discharge chute swivels to blow snow to whatever side makes
the most sense; it was operated by a crank that he
couldn't--quite--reach from the tractor seat, so he jury-rigged a power
window motor to drive the shaft through a coupling made from a 7/8"
socket and a universal joint. He jury-rigged the wiring, too, so we
cleaned that up today.
The snowblower...
The motor interfaced to the drive shaft...
DPDT switch (center off) mounted to the rollover preventer...
Power jack above the rear differential...
...and the wiring tucked inside some plastic loom.
This morning we're heading down to Oshkosh...
