Summer Soiree, Day 01
Tuesday started early, after a fitful night's sleep. Did I pack everything? Will I wake up in time? Why did I pick such an early flight...
I ordered an Uber for 0400, which meant up at 3 for coffee, some breakfast and last minute 'what ifs.' But headlights turned in/around at 3:45; I was pretty much ready anyway, and off we went.
I don't fly often enough to be fully comfortable with the rigamarole, and it took some false starts to pick the right line, get baggage sorted, and checked in, but eventually I was at the right gate, and off we went. A two hour layover in Minneapolis had me into CWA by early afternoon, where I was picked up by three brothers.
Before going 'home,' we went back to Mike's place to admire the railroad-tie bridge he'd built over the pond outflow, which will make hauling maple syrup stuff in and out of the woods next spring much less dramatic.
Then back to admire X's new shed, built to accommodate some of the equipment 'stored' under the pine trees, but mostly so the camper can be kept out of the weather.
Corn and burritos for supper, and (fairly) early to bed.
(The picture is of a parking garage at the MSP airport that caught my eye as I was schlepping between gates.)
