Summer Soiree, Day 13
Nephew Bill scored this picnic table from a discard pile; it's not in horrible shape, except the legs are rotten, and a bit too short for grownups...
...we figured two inches should do.
It apparently was made to taken apart, the top and the seats are fastened with these brackets—take out one screw and you can lift them off.
A 2x8 from the scrap pile was just long enough for four legs, judiciously cut.
The bare top...
...gets the leg assemblies screwed on (I neglected to document the Keystone Kops evolution that ultimately produced those assemblies).
The finished product—not particularly pretty, but quite functional.
Then we picked peas again—more fresh pea soup in the future!
