Summer Soiree, Day 26

We started the day with a birthday party for Xavier's granddaughter down at Joe's...


Then we did some pea picking and shelling (you've seen those pictures), and visiting with Jake & Kathy's family.

And had some time left to finish up the cultivator, mostly with welding, starting with cleaning off the rust to make that easier / cleaner.


Some of the welding was done through holes, which takes a steady hand and a keen eye.


A couple of angled braces, made from the old operator handles, are welded on...


...and we're done.




There was a superfluous bar that used to lower the wheels for transit, so Xavier torched off those mounting brackets and removed it.

Now we're done!
